Description
What you'll learn in this calligraphy class:
Everything you need to know to get the basics of calligraphy started! You will learn about the the anatomy of a calligraphy pen, how to hold and write with the pen properly, and care for your tools. You will learn the basic strokes and we will practice various exercises to help you gain control. You will understand and create the formation of letters, words, and finally phrases.
Skill requirements:
This workshop is geared towards beginners.
Material requirements:
Registration includes all supplies, including: 2 nibs, an oblique pen, ink, clipboard, practice paper and instructional guide sheet.

Refund Policy
We require notification of cancellation 1 week prior to scheduled date for a refund. Less than 1 week notification will receive studio credit to be applied toward a future class, and notification less than 48 hours from scheduled date will receive no credit.
Some workshops require a minimum number of registered students. If we don't meet that minimum, we will contact you at least 48 hours in advance and will offer you your choice of a full refund or studio credit.

Beginner Caligraphy covered all the foundations required to begin mastering the art. Jaclyn was an excellent teacher and gave us great tips and techniques that only comes with many years spent learning the skill. I would definitely take another more advanced class with her once I practice the basics.
