RoLa offers a number of programs perfect for working professionals and full-time students. From group classes and individual tutoring at our convenient Porter Square location, to our numerous online programs, we can create a program that's right for you. We offer a conversation-based program for Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, Mandarin, and English (ESL) that makes communication a priority.

Our teachers come from a diversity of backgrounds and are all trained in the RoLa Method. Each teacher has been trained in the RoLa method and is also a student of other languages. RoLa has a committed group of teachers whose passionate knowledge of cultures, countries, and languages inspire confidence in the students they teach. Our teachers are fluent speakers and are able to communicate a great passion for using language in varied settings.

We strive to be more than a language school – we work to create a multicultural, multilingual community that gives language learners the opportunity to immerse themselves in other cultures and connect with students and teachers from all walks of life.

You can find us at 1798 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge - we are only about 2 - 3 minutes from the Porter Square stop on the red line of the T. Coming from the station, take a left and head down Massachusetts Avenue towards Upland Rd. The office is on the right side of the street on the corner of Mass. Ave. and a tiny side street called Stone Court. On the sign above the door you will see RoLa Languages and Fresh Pond Ballet, and from the side of the building, you will see a sign for Acupuncture Wellness and a colorful mural painted on the brick wall. If you're driving in, on-street parking is generally available but a place right in front of the school is not always open, so you may need to leave your car a block or two away. On-street parking is metered (in general, until 8 pm). There is a small parking lot behind the school but unfortunately, all the spots are reserved parking, so please do not park there (unless you want to annoy someone and possibly get towed!). All the offices are in the basement level, so when you come in the front door, you will go straight downstairs. It's a very small place and 3 of the 6 studios are ours, so you should be able to find your teacher easily.
