Cancellation Policy

Bookings are non-refundable – but they may be transferred to another group prior to your scheduled event, subject to the requirements outlined below. If you need to change your date, please provide as much notice as possible — ideally at least one week. If you want to give your rebooking credit to another group, we will honor that. We ask that, if you need to rebook, you do so within one year of the original booking.

Rebooking or Transfer Notice Requirements:

If you request to postpone or transfer your event with fewer than 72 hours’ notice, a rebooking premium of $150 per 20 participants will apply, calculated proportionally (e.g., $225 for 30 participants, $300 for 40, etc.). A minimum fee of $150 will apply for groups smaller than 20 participants.

Participants may be added to your booking at any time prior to the event. Additional charges will apply based on the current rate per participant, due before the event begins.

We plan and staff our events based on the confirmed participant count provided in advance, so all final numbers must be established prior to the event. We do not conduct headcounts on-site or adjust the final cost based on actual attendance. Once an event has taken place, no portion of the booking is transferrable or eligible for future credit.

Outdoor events may be moved indoors for any reason, including inclement weather, pending availability. We request at least 24 hours’ notice for any change of hunt selection. If a museum hunt is selected, museum admission is sold separately.

In the event of a force majeure — such as a public transportation shutdown, city-wide emergency, or government-issued order advising people to stay home — your event will be rescheduled to a mutually agreed future date.

Description

Explore Times Square's history, architecture and stories through a team treasure trek. Look beyond the familiar sights in a neighborhood visited by more than 50 million people each year.

Commencing in front of the NASDAQ Marketsite on 43rd Street and Broadway, teams race against the clock and each other to:

  • Explore celebrated dining destinations, including the Hard Rock Cafe, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Junior's, Raising Cane's, and Jollibee
  • Study the architecture and interiors of iconic Broadway theaters, including the Lyceum and the Gershwin
  • Visit the U.S. Armed Forces Recruiting Station and examine its seals and the history they represent
  • Discover the innovative geothermal heating and cooling system that draws on energy generated by New York City's subway network
  • Explore flagship retail stores of M&M's, Hershey's, Krispy Kreme, and other major brands
  • Honor the legacies of Father Duffy and George M. Cohan, two of Times Square's most significant historical figures
  • And many more discoveries throughout the district

Whether you have lived in New York your entire life or this is your first visit, the Times Square Treasure Trek reveals a version of this neighborhood you have never encountered before. It is a game of strategy, collaboration, and communication in which teams work together to decode clues and outsmart their rivals.

Booking is straightforward: choose your date, time, and participant count, and we handle the rest. Upon confirmation, you receive a booking confirmation and invoice, securing your spot. We stay in touch through the event to address any questions or special requests.

Prior to the expedition, our staff connects with your group leader to confirm all logistics. On the day, we are at the designated starting point, ready to welcome your group, form teams, explain the rules, and launch the competition. Our staff remains available throughout for guidance and assistance.

As the expedition concludes, teams reconvene at the endpoint for scoring and winner announcements. Prizes await the winning team, and we are available afterward to discuss the clues and memorable moments from the day.

Join us for an unforgettable journey through Times Square, where every clue brings you closer to discovery, and every answer reveals something you never knew about one of the world's most iconic places. All event logistics are handled by our experienced on-site staff from start to finish. Here is a brief overview of what teams need to know before the hunt begins:

  • Teams must remain together throughout - no dividing up to cover more ground at once.
  • The hunt has a two-hour maximum runtime, but teams that finish early are welcome to conclude before time is called.
  • Clues can be completed in any order; reading ahead often reveals strategic opportunities.
  • Photo and video challenges are required and scored at the end using team phones.
  • The team with the most points wins. Ties are resolved by order of arrival at the designated endpoint.
  • The phrase puzzle on the final page is essential for earning a top score - do not overlook it.

The hunt was a great experience for our team. The instructions were clear, there were plenty of clues to uncover, and we learned a lot of interesting things along the way. It was more challenging than we expected, which made it all the more rewarding.
