PoliciesPrice Match GuaranteeIf you find a similar event with a competitor at a lower price, we’ll gladly match it. This applies to events of comparable description and duration. Simply provide the details when booking, or within 72 hours of your booking, and we’ll ensure you get the best value. Contact an event concierge to get started. Cancellation PolicyBookings are non-refundable – but they may be transferred to another group prior to your scheduled event, subject to the requirements outlined below. If you need to change your date, please provide as much notice as possible — ideally at least one week. If you want to give your rebooking credit to another group, we will honor that. We ask that, if you need to rebook, you do so within one year of the original booking. Rebooking or Transfer Notice Requirements: If you request to postpone or transfer your event with fewer than 72 hours’ notice, a rebooking premium of $150 per 20 participants will apply, calculated proportionally (e.g., $225 for 30 participants, $300 for 40, etc.). A minimum fee of $150 will apply for groups smaller than 20 participants. Participants may be added to your booking at any time prior to the event. Additional charges will apply based on the current rate per participant, due before the event begins. We plan and staff our events based on the confirmed participant count provided in advance, so all final numbers must be established prior to the event. We do not conduct headcounts on-site or adjust the final cost based on actual attendance. Once an event has taken place, no portion of the booking is transferrable or eligible for future credit. Outdoor events may be moved indoors for any reason, including inclement weather, pending availability. We request at least 24 hours’ notice for any change of hunt selection. If a museum hunt is selected, museum admission is sold separately. In the event of a force majeure — such as a public transportation shutdown, city-wide emergency, or government-issued order advising people to stay home — your event will be rescheduled to a mutually agreed future date. |

Explore the East and West Village through a scavenger hunt covering punk rock, literature, counterculture and more than two centuries of neighborhood history.
Join our Legends of the Village scavenger hunt, where teams race through the charming, historically rich streets of Greenwich Village, decoding clues about its most significant people, places, and events. Discover ghost stories, labor history, artistic movements, and the remarkable concentration of historical significance packed into these few blocks.
Your adventure begins at Astor Place. In a race against time and competing teams, you will:
- Explore the statues and public artworks around Cooper Union, one of the most important educational institutions in American history
- Walk through the cemetery at St. Mark's Church in-the-Bowery and learn about the remarkable figures buried there, including Peter Stuyvesant
- Investigate the tragic story of the General Slocum disaster, one of the deadliest events in New York City history, and visit the site where many victims gathered before their final journey
- Trace the history of punk rock at the site of the legendary CBGB venue, where bands like the Ramones, Blondie, and Talking Heads first took the stage
- Discover Marble Cemetery, one of the city's oldest and most atmospheric burial grounds
- Visit the Merchant's House Museum, Colonnade Row, Astor Library, the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire site, the Jefferson Market Library, and the Northern Dispensary
- Explore Washington Square Park's monuments, arch, and Hangman's Elm, and learn about the neighborhood's distinguished former residents

Our Legends of the Village scavenger hunt is a test of strategy, teamwork, and communication, requiring teams to collaborate on clues, puzzles, and route planning to emerge victorious.
How it works: We organize, staff, and oversee every aspect of the hunt. Simply arrive and compete.
Booking: select a date, time, and participant count. We confirm and stay in touch through the event.
Prior to the hunt, we contact your group leader to finalize details.
On the day, we are on-site early, ready to gather participants and get everyone set up. Teams search the neighborhood for clues, work through puzzles, and navigate toward the finish line together, with our staff available throughout for support.
At the conclusion, teams reconvene at the endpoint for scoring, winner announcements, and prizes. We remain on hand to address questions and celebrate the result together. All event logistics are managed by our experienced on-site team. Here is a summary of the rules teams will follow throughout the hunt:
- Teams must stay together at all times - no splitting up to cover different areas.
- Bold words in the clues indicate exactly where to look for answers.
- The hunt has a two-hour maximum runtime, but teams that finish ahead of schedule are welcome to conclude early.
- Teams choose their own route and can approach clues in any order.
- Several photo and video challenges require team phones and are reviewed for scoring.
- The team with the most points wins. In case of a tie, the order of arrival at the endpoint decides the champion.
- The phrase puzzle on the final page is essential for a competitive score.
