Join us for the Madeira Masterclass and embark on a the journey to the picturesque island of Madeira with renowned producers Cossart Gordon and Miles Madeira Wine. Our esteemed guest speaker, Nelson Caldo, will guide you through an exploration of the distinctive styles, grape varieties, and vintages that make Madeira wines so unique.

Discover the legacy of Cossart Gordon & Co., the oldest shippers of Madeira wine. Established in 1745 by Scotsmen Francis Newton and William Gordon, and later joined by William Cossart in 1808, this historic company built its reputation as suppliers of the finest Madeiras, largely due to their trade relationships with the American colonies.

Don’t miss this opportunity to delve into the rich history and exquisite flavors of Madeira wine!

What you need to know about Master Classes

  • All tastings are sit-down lecture format with a definitive start time
  • You will be led through a tasting of 6 to 8 wines and learn a lot
  • All tastings will end at 8 PM
  • Purchasing tickets ahead of time is recommended

Refund Policy

WORKSHOP REFUNDS & TRANSFERS

Online course and workshop cancellations are permitted up to 14 business days before the start date, with a refund issued minus a $50 admin fee, study materials, exam fees, and wine kit costs. Separate WSET certification exam cancellation/transfer rules and fees apply. Enrollments can be transferred to another course or student until 14 business days before the start, subject to a $50 admin fee and costs for additional materials and fees. Transfers are not allowed into the next academic year starting January 1.

Cancellations made less than 14 days before or after the course starts are not refundable.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
