Join one of Digital Photo Academy's award-winning instructors for a morning photography session at San Francisco's iconic Ferry Building and adjacent farmers market. Learn to maximize your composition skills in all stages, from initial shooting through post-processing and image refinement.
The first portion of this class focuses on selecting the right lens, adjusting camera settings strategically, and using natural and available light to create images with strong, effective compositions. The second part includes a detailed image critique with guidance on using professional tools such as Nik Software's Color Efex to further develop your unique visual style and enhance individual images.
This engaging workshop offers both excellent learning opportunities and plenty of opportunities to enjoy quality food available at the farmers' market before and after your shooting session.
Meet outside the north entrance of the Ferry Building along the north side of the structure.
Each Composition in the Field class begins with an instructional talk from one of our experienced photographers, followed by a guided photography walk through one of many carefully selected photogenic locations. Digital Photo Academy offers classes across 20-plus cities at diverse venues, including street photography sites, impressive museum interiors, farmers' markets, zoos, landscapes, and additional compelling locations. Images displayed represent student and instructor work from numerous different venues across the United States and Canada.
You will enjoy a three-hour session, learn strategic approaches to shooting, capture more interesting photographs of your environment, and develop foundational skills to improve your photography in countless future situations, whether traveling, documenting celebrations, or photographing everyday moments.
