This comprehensive workshop is designed for individuals eager to master the features and capabilities of their digital cameras. Regardless of which camera model you own, you will have the opportunity to significantly improve your photographic skills and understanding.

This course is ideal if you:

  • Have recently purchased a digital SLR camera or point-and-shoot camera
  • Want to master simple and creative photographic adjustments using your camera's built-in functions and settings
  • Wish to establish a strong foundation of camera knowledge before advancing to more specialized coursework

Our Composition in the Field workshops provide three hours of hands-on photography practice during which a Digital Photo Academy instructor will demonstrate and guide you through accessible composition techniques that elevate ordinary snapshots into visually compelling and engaging images.

Note: Completing this Master Your Digital Camera Controls course qualifies you for a special alumni discount when you enroll in any future Composition in the Field workshop, which provides a 50% savings on your next course!

Refund Policy

  • Notify us prior to the Wednesday before the weekend of your workshop to receive a refund less 5% cancellation fee.
  • Later cancellations will not be refunded and reschedule will require a $30 rescheduling fee.

Please note – if a class must be cancelled due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control we will be happy to work with you to reschedule. If you should need to cancel and require a new class date, contact us. A $25 transfer fee will be imposed without a 3 day notice before the scheduled class.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

    Definitely it was amazing. I highly recommended. The instructor was thrilled. We took very good photos. I did nit have any knowledge of photography. After the amazing class, I was a pro and was taking photos that catch the eye with the rule of thirds, asymmetrical and leading lines. It was a great class. Thank you Mr. Miller for the amazing class.
