Class Description
Description
The focus of this course is to provide the student with additional experience with 3 lead arrhythmia interpretation followed by more advanced physiology and axis determination in preparation for or along with paramedic or RN primary education programs.
Content includes:
- axis determination
- atrial enlargement and ventricular hypertrophy
- basic MI patterns
- posterior and right-sided MI patterns
- development of a formal method of verbally presenting 12 Lead EKGs to a receiving clinician
Pre-requisite: completion of a basic 3 Lead course or Colorado Cardiac's Basic EKG course.
Intended Audience:
- EMTs who have completed 3 Lead coursework and seek additional experience in preparation for advancement in their medical careers.
- RNs familiar with basic 3 lead arrhythmias at the level of ACLS rhythm cases seeking more practice and advancement of EKG interpretation.
- Clinician students looking to advance their knowledge beyond basic interpretation, but lacking in significant experience/time presenting or reviewing EKGs with attending physicians and cardiologists.
School Notes:
All of the courses that we have students sign up for through CourseHorse are skills sessions. Skills sessions require that the student complete an online testing portion through the American Heart Association, that online testing portion is a separate charge from our class fee for facilitating the skills session in the class room.
We offer full provider classes that are all done in class without the need to complete an online test before the class starts.
Refund Policy
- If you need to cancel for a refund less a 5% non-refundable fee or reschedule your class a 2 business days notice to CourseHorse is required.
- If less than 2 business days notice is received we can no longer issue a refund of any sort.
Students must arrive on time for their class. Students who arrive 15 minutes or more late, will not be allowed into class and will not be allowed a refund. No-call, No-show will result in you being charged for the cost of the class.
