What you'll learn in this waltz class:

Gain mastery on dances like Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot, and Quickstep.

The International Style of dance developed in Europe almost at the same time as the American Style, and was introduced to the U.S. in the 1960's. Originally labeled English Style, it quickly became the darling of the competitive world. On the social floor, initially, it took second place to the American Style. Over the years though, it developed a popularity equal to the American Style, danced socially and competitively in the U.S., Europe and Asia.

Note: A dance partner is not required for this class.

Reviews of Classes at Stepping Out Studios

3 out of 3

Attended: Argentine Tango - All Levels Technique

The class was amazing! Instructions were simple and detail oriented, so it was easy to follow. Definitely will come back!

Attended: Salsa 1 (on 2) - Bongo Loco

Would definitely recommend for beginners. The instructors were enthusiastic and kept a great pace. Very nice facilities with many other dance classes in session at the same time.

Attended: Beginner International Standard

Standard Foxtrot was fun, I took a date there and it was a very good idea and we both had a lot of fun. Initially I was signed up for beginning int'l standard but there was such bad traffic we didnt make it but Step Out studios let us do the very next class, which was said to be more difficult in the foxtrot. Our instructor was Tatyana and she was great, the class itself was several sessions in, they meet like 1x a week and they were probably 4-5 sessions in so that made it tougher to learn but it was still fun, my date and I both did our best to keep up and focus and we had fun with it and got better as the class went along. I would definitely recommend doing a dance class but focus on anything that says beginner, even if you are a person that goes out to dance at clubs etc, it will still be difficult to keep pace, particularly with a class that is already in session and deep into the progression. Had a lot of fun and would definitely do it again, just will choose a different class that can work at my pace.
