Learn the ancient technique of block printing and go home with a whole new skill to continue exploring on your own! In this class we will learn how to carve and print by hand from rubber and linoleum blocks, following the traditional form of printmaking.
Come prepared to learn, explore, and have fun with the endless possibilities of printmaking. Bring your ideas, drawings, inspiration images, or just come as you are ready to experiment and enjoy. By the end of the session, participants will have garnered the basic tools and resources to continue exploring and making prints at home.
No experience necessary; this class is particularly geared towards those who would not necessarily consider themselves artists, but want to learn a new skill and be surprised by how they can make beautiful art.
An additional materials fee of $20 (payable in cash at the workshop)
Enrollment subject to availability.
