This corset making class offers intermediate sewers and budding designers the opportunity to begin their journey in creating a custom corset to their own measurements.
In this class you will learn how to fit a corset mock-up and build a corset using the double layer construction technique. This includes inserting a busk (optional), measuring for and choosing bones, marking and setting grommets. The class starts with drawing a pattern from measurements, making a mock-up and fitting it with the teachers guidance, transferring the changes to the original pattern (so you can make your next corset without a fitting partner) and putting the corset together.
Professional inner construction supplies are included, you provide the busk (optional), fashion fabric and lining. For intermediate to advanced sewers.
We generally do not cancel classes, however if we do; a makeup/credit is offered.
