Join our photo lessons at the University of Denver, one of the excellent locales in our rotation of Denver venues that offer terrific photo opportunities.
The University of Denver is a stunning setting for photography. It offers a mix of architectural beauty, vibrant campus life, and breathtaking natural surroundings. Situated a mile above sea level, the campus boasts views of both the city of Denver and the Rocky Mountains, providing a dramatic backdrop for your photos. With its red-brick walkways and historic buildings, the campus tells the story of a 156-year legacy. And combined with its lush green spaces, the university offers photographers a unique blend of urban and natural beauty to explore.
Your Digital Photo Academy instructor will guide you through this iconic campus, offering expert tips to help you capture portfolio-worthy shots of its dynamic features.
Photographers will find inspiration in the iconic Driscoll Student Center, the heart of student activity, perfect for capturing candid shots of students and the energetic campus atmosphere. Around the campus, red-brick designs contrast beautifully with modern structures like the striking Newman Center for the Performing Arts and the distinctive Ritchie Center Tower, a beacon visible across the city.
Beyond the buildings, the university’s many lawns, gardens, and tree-lined paths come alive with the changing seasons—from the golden hues of autumn to the pristine snow of winter. Frame the campus with Denver’s majestic skyline and the Rocky Mountains in the distance, creating stunning compositions that blend nature and city life.
Adding to the visual charm are the university’s many outdoor sculptures, which make excellent subjects for creative compositions. From modern abstract installations to pieces that pay homage to the region’s cultural and natural heritage, these sculptures are thoughtfully placed throughout the campus, offering unique focal points that spark curiosity and invite artistic exploration.
