It all started when Carl Rosa (our founder) began researching the truth behind amazing sushi. Not finding many resources in 2005, he purchased a website domain and founded The Sushi Club of Houston - an organization dedicated to understanding sushi. Today, 12 years later, his organization is comprised of more than 17,000 registered members and is the largest sushi-based organization in the United States of America.

After obtaining about 1,000 members, Carl began learning the basics of quality sushi (and making it for his members). Slowly, as he began working with local and prominent sushi chefs, he absorbed the tricks and techniques that make sushi lovers crave for more. Today, Carl and his staff provides sushi classes in five major U.S. cities while managing five Japan/Sushi-based websites and offering tours to Japan eight times each year. Our sushi classes are the highest rated classes in North America.

Due to the extreme demand in our programs, ExploreSushi.com was created to provide an outlet for all of our classes, demonstrations and events throughout the year.

Our goal is to teach every sushi lover the basics of making high quality, delicious sushi in a fun and memorable atmosphere.

ExploreSushi.com is website that encompasses several projects and programs which were crafted by Mr. Rosa in order to facilitate and educate sushi (and Japan) lovers across the United States and beyond.

Through ExploreSushi.com, we offer class schedules, demonstrations and lectures, helpful videos, links to media, photos and much more. The goal is to provide helpful, interesting and educational programs that hopefully raise the level of quality (and expectations) for sushi lovers throughout the United States.
