This comprehensive workshop provides instruction for photographers eager to develop a complete understanding of their camera systems and equipment. Enhance your photographic capabilities regardless of your camera model or type.

This course is ideal for you if you:

  • Have recently acquired a digital SLR camera or a point-and-shoot camera
  • Want to learn how to make deliberate and imaginative adjustments to your images using your camera's built-in functions
  • Wish to master foundational camera knowledge before pursuing advanced photography coursework

The Composition in the Field workshop provides three hours of hands-on field photography practice where our experienced instructor will demonstrate and guide you through easily applicable composition techniques that elevate ordinary snapshots into striking, memorable images.

Special Note: Completing this Master Your Digital Camera Controls course qualifies you for an exclusivealumni discount on any subsequent Composition in the Field class, offering a generous 50% discount.

Refund Policy

  • Notify us prior to the Wednesday before the weekend of your workshop to receive a refund less 5% cancellation fee.
  • Later cancellations will not be refunded and reschedule will require a $30 rescheduling fee.

Please note – if a class must be cancelled due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control we will be happy to work with you to reschedule. If you should need to cancel and require a new class date, contact us. A $25 transfer fee will be imposed without a 3 day notice before the scheduled class.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

  • Master Your Digital Camera Controls (Houston)

    The instructor knew virtually nothing about my Sony despite that fact that I submitted the maker and model weeks in advanced as requested. I was told it was so the instructor could familiarize himself with the students’ cameras prior to the class. As a result, he was unable to answer any questions that were specific to the controls on my camera.
