Cemetery Photography
Great historic cemetery near Downtown Houston. Great vista towards the skyline, although time of day was difficult for a great shot. Kathy always gives great advice on ways to get the best shot in difficult lighting situations. She also introduced a new concept to me, zoom blur, using some of the angel statuary in the cemetery for a different look to our photos. I never fail to learn something new in one of Kathy's classes. -
Intro to Night Photography
Instructor is very knowledgeable and has a variety of spots within short walking distance to showcase different techniques. Know when sunset is because she may come early and you get some extra pointers! -
Making Money With Your Camera
This class taught by Kathy is very informative. She gives a lot of information and references to make money with your camera. She offers many opportunistic ideas to the potential entrepreneur. She offers her knowledge to website design with various DIY on-line web hosts, as well as getting your DBA (Doing Business As) Certificate for starting your own photography business. She offers many ideas to determine what type of photographer you wish to become or are and the avenues of prospect each category of photography can bring. Kathy discusses the Photographer's Market and the variety of venues offered to display your photos. I took many notes on this class and Kathy gives you a handout with pertinent information as well. Very good class for the beginner with a lot of very useful information!
