Make candles in tin containers, blending your own scents and colors.

Learn from a master chandler with 24 years of candle-industry experience and take home your finished candle.

Event Itinerary:

  1. Once all attendees have arrived, the host will greet everyone and get them seated comfortably.
  2. Next, we deliver a brief welcome message and detailed instructions on how each person will customize their own unique candle creation.
  3. Our servers will bring melted candle wax to each table for participants to use in their projects.
  4. Attendees will customize their melted wax by adding their chosen fragrance, color, botanicals, and special additives, then pour the mixture into their candle vessels.
  5. After the candle project is complete and has set properly, we distribute lids and eco-friendly bags to make transport home convenient and environmentally responsible.

What You Will Prepare and Take Home:

  • One beautiful custom-made wax candle in a tin container, ready to use and enjoy.

    I actually took this candle making class yesterday evening. It was cancelled for the 20th last week. I really enjoyed the class. The teacher was remarkable. She took her time to explain the candle making process step by step. The studio looked amazing. I loved the black tiled floor with streaks of different colors. Both of my candles came out beautifully. The color & scents I choose for making my candles came out very well. I would recommend this class to anyone wanting to make candles.

    this was a very thorough class. while you make two different kinds of candles that you can take home and burn, the primary purpose of the class is to review the steps needed to get into candle making as a business. as such, the teacher shares her personal experience, providing tips on where to source for materials and how to price. as a big plus, she’s friendly and approachable, so this is not like a dry lecture, or powerpoint presentation. she also left us with a printed booklet which included a lot of what she went over incase theres something you forget. 5 stars (and im not even a candle person)

After many tries reading candle making books and making candles with crappy results, Marla cut through all the useless info I brought into class and gave straight forward useful techniques, tried and true products…candle wax, wicks, fragrances and candle vessels.     The workshop was so informative!!! You gain great knowledge when making your candle. Marla is a great instructor. There's a lot that goes into making beautiful candles, especially starting up your business. YouTube can't give you detail information like being in this workshop. I looking forward to her next workshop.

    Marla seemed very knowledgeable about all aspects of candle making, from the tools, scents, waxes, etc., to selling them. We went through a handout she had (she also sent a link to the class online) and made a soy and a coconut wax candle. We used fragrance and essential oils for both (or a blend of two or more) in between going through the steps of making and selling the candles. I went to the class right after work and thought the three hours would drag, but they flew. I found this class very interesting and would recommend it to anyone who might be thinking of selling candles. Having said that, I'm not sure that I'd do more than make them for friends and family, and I'm still really glad I took the class. I would definitely take another class with Marla.

    The teacher was very knowledgable about all things candles! I truly had so much fun creating my two candles. Both the teacher and her assistant were very sweet and worked well with one another. They had the perfect amount of supplies and a nice selection of both fragrance and essential oils. I'd definitely take another one of her classes!
