Description

Practice comedy with Ben Rosenfeld, a stand-up comedian and corporate instructor who previously taught at Caroline's Comedy School, part of Caroline's Comedy Club in Times Square. He has made over a dozen television appearances.
Ben's sessions are thoughtfully tailored to each company's personality and goals, blending genuine laughter with practical interpersonal skills that translate directly to the workplace. Over three hours, your team will be introduced to the complete humor toolkit, practice performance and delivery techniques, work through writing exercises with business applications, play improv games that strengthen group cohesion, and in the extended 60-minute portion exclusive to this format, develop and refine their own original short comedic routines with direct coaching and feedback from Ben. The session takes place in a professional rehearsal studio near Lincoln Center.
What's Included:
- One instructor who has been teaching comedy classes for years (originally at Caroline's Comedy School, part of Caroline's Comedy Club in Times Square) and is a working stand-up comedian who's appeared on television a dozen times.
- A microphone and speaker.
- A professional rehearsal studio space near Lincoln Center.
Event Itinerary:
An optional pre-class assignment (15-30 minutes)
Core Class
- Basic microphone and performance/content delivery techniques, which are also useful for non-comedy situations such as presentations and sales meetings, where each person practices in front of the group (40 minutes)
- Intro to comedy lecture covering the entire comedy toolkit (20 minutes)
- Writing exercises that we share and can be applied to business writing (30 minutes)
- Fun improv comedy games to build group cohesion and teach thinking on your feet (30 minutes)
- Writing prompts for each person to generate unique short story ideas. Instruction on how to turn one story into a brief 30-60 second comedic routine. Then sharing it and getting feedback on improvements. If time, sharing the improved version. (60 minutes, only for the 180-minute option)
