How it Works
Description
The team that laughs together stays together. Add levity to your next team meeting, corporate outing, or company party with some comedy coaching! Veteran stand up comedian and comedy instructor Ben Rosenfeld teaches your company how to create laughter from any mundane subject. Ben’s private seminars help your company lighten the mood while building valuable interpersonal skills for the workplace, clients and beyond. Tailored to your company’s needs, these sessions focus on having fun and laughing together while learning.
The session lasts 2 hours and includes an introductory presentation by Ben on how the humor toolbox and how to use it in the workplace, followed by breakout sessions where your team members will be encouraged to develop a one-minute stand-up routine with coaching by Ben, and culminating in some of your team performing their routines to crack up their coworkers.
What's Included:
- One instructor who has been teaching comedy classes for years (originally at Caroline’s Comedy School part of Caroline’s Comedy Club in Times Square) and is a working stand-up comedian that’s appeared on television a dozen times.
- A microphone and speaker.
- A professional rehearsal studio space near Lincoln Center.
Event Itinerary:
An optional pre-class assignment (15-30 minutes)
Core Class
- Basic microphone and performance/content delivery techniques, that are also useful for non-comedy situations such as presentations and sales meetings, where each person practices in front of the group (40 minutes)
- Intro to comedy lecture covering the entire comedy toolkit (20 minutes)
- Writing exercises that we share and can be applied to business writing (30 minutes)
- Fun improv comedy games to build group cohesion and teach thinking on your feet (30 minutes)
