Description
Practice stand-up comedy in a session led by comedian and instructor Ben Rosenfeld. He has performed on television a dozen times and previously taught at Caroline's Comedy School, part of Caroline's Comedy Club in Times Square.
Ben's private corporate seminars are built around a simple but powerful idea: humor is a skill you can learn, and it makes every professional relationship stronger. These sessions are tailored to each company's specific culture and goals, and they focus equally on having genuine fun and building the interpersonal skills that carry over directly into presentations, client relationships, sales conversations, and daily teamwork.
The format includes an optional pre-class assignment, followed by a full introductory presentation on the humor toolkit and how to apply it in professional settings. Breakout sessions give each team member the chance to develop a one-minute stand-up routine with personal coaching from Ben, and the session culminates in live performances in front of the group at a professional rehearsal studio near Lincoln Center.

Event Itinerary:
An optional pre-class assignment (15-30 minutes)
Core Class
- Basic microphone and performance/content delivery techniques, that are also useful for non-comedy situations such as presentations and sales meetings, where each person practices in front of the group (40 minutes)
- Intro to comedy lecture covering the entire comedy toolkit (20 minutes)
- Writing exercises that we share and can be applied to business writing (30 minutes)
- Fun improv comedy games to build group cohesion and teach thinking on your feet (30 minutes)
