Make a traditional Japanese Kimekomi doll to take home. Press fabric into grooves carved in a wooden body, securing the pattern without stitching or glue.

All skill levels are welcome, with step-by-step instruction.

Event Itinerary:

10 min: An introduction to kimekomi and its Edo-period roots.
15 min: Guests choose their fabrics and the instructor demonstrates how the fabric is tucked into the carved grooves.
85 to 110 min: Guests build their doll piece by piece with step-by-step guidance.
10 to 15 min: Final details and take-home.
