This hand building ceramics workshop will be a playful low stakes learning environment grounded in exploration and letting go of expectations. Participants will work with air dry clay and are welcome to make anything they’d like such as sculptural, abstract forms and functional forms such as vases, planters, jewelry dishes, the list goes on.

Participants will learn how to make a pinch pot and coil build, two fundamental techniques to hand building. No experience is necessary, this workshop is suited for those who are curious about working with their hands and decompressing from cognitive work.

Event Itinerary:

Introduction to ceramics and the studio - 10 minutes
Participants introduce themselves - 5 minutes

Clean up - 15 minutes
