Little Art House invites children of all ages to imagine, explore, & create through art making!
As sisters who grew up with an art teacher as our mother, we spent every summer and school holiday making playdough, creating found object sculptures, experimenting with Spin Art, and much, much more. These warm memories of risk and reward fueled by imagination are what motivated us to open the Little Art House. We hope to provide inviting opportunities for Nashville’s children to imagine, explore, and create in a comfortable environment. Please join us in this adventure as we continue to grow. We look forward to meeting you and our future students!
This watercolor class with Sarah was great. I learned a lot, had a great time and left with a completed watercolor.
I'm beginning drawing again after long time not actively drawing. The Little Art House has been perfect for me: it's within walking distance, it's affordable and the class meets in the afternoon. I'm enjoying myself and the teacher is very helpful. I will continue taking classes.
Watercolor 101 with Sarah is amazing. I have been wanting to learn how to watercolor for years and this 4 session class was exactly what I was looking for. She is a great teacher that is encouraging and flexible to a variety of skill levels. In addition, she seems to understand how to balance a sense of fun with teaching a new skill to a bunch of adults on a week day evening. The wonderful instructor, quality art supplies and convenient time/location makes this class perfect for me and I would highly recommend it to others.
I learned a lot and Molly was a great teacher.
So many great tips in a short class!
Great girls night out! Can’t wait to practice what we learned!
The teacher was great and it was fun to go home with two finished bird paintings.
I took two classes a few years back and everyone painted a landscape picture along with the teacher. As she painted she explained to us students how to do this and how to do that. My two paintings turned out rather well. Now with this class, it was asked for students to bring their own photos or pictures which everyone did. Although we had a choice to paint still life or our picture, the teacher had an apple, and I’m not sure if she had anything else to go with it. Everyone choose their own picture. I think it would be beneficial if students painted along with the teacher, that way we can see exactly how it’s done in steps. Even though I did like Kimberlee, she had to go around the table like crazy to help four students. If someone got stuck (like we all did) we had to wait for her to finish up helping someone. If you have a class where we can paint along with the teacher I would gladly come back. Please keep me informed.
This class was really great and I left with 6 finished paintings, which was awesome. The instructor was enthusiastic about the subject and shared a lot of techniques. The class did move quickly, so I would recommend that you at least have a little bit of painting experience. The space was very cozy, and I loved the limited class size. My only complaint was that the paintbrushes provided for use during the class were not well-suited for watercolor and made completing some of the tasks difficult. Hopefully they will invest in a few better brushes, because otherwise this class was a gem.
Molly was enthusiastic and knowledgable. A truly fun evening!
