What you'll learn in this jewelry class:

We are excited to announce a combined medium class taught in one day.

Mirrah Johnson, a fiber art graduate from The Appalachian School of Craft will teach you the art of natural indigo dyeing. Participants will get to dye their own silk scarf using 6,000 year old techniques to create their own unique pattern in this beautiful blue hue.

While the scarves are drying, students will step into the metals studio and make pendants for their scarves with Lindsay Walker, a jewelry maker and designer who learned her chops while graduating in jewelry design from The Institute For Precious Metals in Copenhagen, Denmark. Both teachers are members of Tennessee Craft and are thrilled to share with you their enthusiasm for both fiber art and jewelry art.

No prior experience is necessary. We will teach you everything and guide you along the way. This class is perfect for beginners, groups and individuals, ages 12 and up are all welcome.

Note: Students should wear comfortable clothing, long pants, and close toed shoes.
