Description

Compete in small teams to solve a monsters-and-ghouls virtual escape challenge.

On the night before Halloween, Madame Grim hosts her annual monster ball. Sounds from the attic lead her to a struggle and a shattered window: the spell-protected Crimson Crystal, containing the Spirit of Halloween, has been stolen.

Follow the attic clues to identify the ghost, ghoul, or villain responsible and recover the Crystal to save Halloween.

What your group will experience:

  • Our engaging facilitator will welcome the group, go over the rules of the game, and launch the event with high energy and enthusiasm
  • Teams will be presented with clues, puzzles, and activities in the form of character descriptions, virtual maps, audio clips, and video clips. You will play mini-games to uncover additional clues that lead to your goal
  • Most of the event will be spent working in mini-teams, though you will have multiple opportunities to interact with the full group throughout the experience

Any one that leads a team (or is part of a team ) can relate that since the pandemic, team building has become more challenging. As part of our Halloween festivities, I invited everyone to dress up, and join in the Virtual Monsters & Ghouls: Escape Room hosted through CourseHorse. I have a few serious competitors on the team, and there was a some great competitive energy and camaraderie. At the end of the event, neither team solved the escape room – but we all had a great time in the process. This year (now that we can come together in person again), I am considering doing something similar, with my remote employees calling in, and my hybrid employees joining in person.
