Create a finished piece in sterling and fine silver during a workshop with expert goldsmith Carolina Iwanow. Learn the metalsmithing process with guidance throughout.

You will choose whether to create a domed gemstone ring or a pendant, then select a cabochon or flat-back gemstone from Carolina's private collection. From that starting point, you will cut, saw, sand, file, solder, shape, set the stone, clean, and polish your piece, leaving with a completed, wearable work of art made entirely by your own hands.

Workshop Flow:

Upon arrival, you and your instructor will decide on your design, whether a ring or pendant, and you will select your gemstone and sketch a brief design plan
Light snacks, coffee, tea, water, and wine are available throughout the session
You will then work through the complete metalsmithing process: cutting, sawing, sanding, filing, soldering, shaping, stone setting, cleaning, and polishing, departing with a finished, polished piece of fine jewelry
