Description
Explore machine learning applications such as financial trading and recommendation systems used by Amazon, Spotify and Netflix.
Learn linear and logistic regression, k-nearest neighbors, decision trees and random forests. Examine bias, variance and overfitting; measure model accuracy; and select features and algorithms for different problems.
Apply machine learning to practical problems. Visual demonstrations explain the mathematics, with limited emphasis on formal proofs. You should be comfortable writing Python and working with NumPy and Pandas.
Required Prerequisites:
Intermediate Python, NumPy and Pandas skills are required. Students without Python experience must complete Python for Data Science Bootcamp first.
