Plant CSI: Diagnosing Plant Problems in the Autumn Landscape
Autumn provides us with the opportunity to look at overall plant health as temperatures cool, leaves change color and fall, and the days shorten. In particular, we can often see signs of tree and shrub decays as well as overwintering insect pests that are not present at other times of the year. This is also a great time to work on management techniques to help prevent a repeat of some of the problems found during the past growing season.
Please join us for the third and final class in the Seasonal Plant Diagnostic Walk series! These are hands on classes that will cover how to diagnose common plant problems, including how to scout and monitor for diseases and insect pests, how to recognize what is not normal for a plant, and what kind of management plan will work best for the issue. Join us in the UWBG Washington Park Arboretum and learn skills to help you keep your garden plants healthy and thriving. Participation in previous Plant CSI virtual classes and walks not required, but encouraged.
