How it Works
Description
Sculpture in the park is our beginner hand-building class. No experience is required to take this class. An instructor will demonstrate and guide you through the process of slipping and scoring along with other techniques such as coil building and slab building. What is created is up to the guests however most students tend to make small tea cups and vessels. All materials, tools, and firings are included.
What's Included:

Event Itinerary:
- The class begins with a short 15-minute demonstration by an instructor on the technical aspects of clay and how to create the structure and form students aim to make.
- Followed by everyone creating their own individual piece. Depending on the scale of the piece students tend to leave with 1-3 creations. If they choose to focus on a larger form, then 1 piece. Creating time usually lasts for about an hour and a half.
- The last 10 minutes of the session account for clean-up time. Once clean-up time is done each student gets to choose a glaze of their choice.
- There are over 20 glaze options to choose from ranging from matte to glossy, blue, red, yellow, brown, black, and more.
