How it Works
Description
Learn one of the hottest trends in the DIY/crafting world - tapestry weaving - and design and make your own woven wall hangings in this fun, relaxing beginner-friendly workshop. This class will teach you how to add contemporary elements to a centuries-old tradition and will prepare you to create your own designs while bringing your Pinterest dreams of luscious wall hangings and palettes to life.
The loom and tools can be used over and over again so you can truly perfect your craft. We include three types of yarn so you can learn multiple ways to add texture and flair.
In this class, you'll learn:
- How to make a simple DIY loom from chipboard
- How to set up the warp thread on your loom
- How to do weaving stitches including plain weave, soumak, and rya knots
- How to add fringes to your design
- How to incorporate a variety of fiber weights and textures
- How to finish your weaving work and have it ready to hang on your wall
What's Included:
- A private, interactive workshop led by a professional artist and instructor

- After you book the event, we will send you a confirmation email and Zoom details for the event
- We will then collect the addresses of each of the participants and ensure every individual is sent a loom tapestry kit
- Our event fulfillment team will be able to answer any questions you have before, during, or after the event
- All materials shipped to each participant, including:

- a dowel
- a loom
Supported Platforms: Zoom is our recommended platform, but we can accommodate Google Meets, Microsoft Teams, and WebEx if the client provides the meeting details
Shipping Deadlines & Terms:
- US addresses must be submitted two weeks before the event
- Additional costs may apply to expedited shipments
- Any shipment containing wine or alcohol must be signed for by the recipient
Pricing
- $850 for up to 10 people
- $85 per person thereafter
- If you don't know your group size, select the minimum group size (10) to pay the minimum deposit and secure your date. We'll finalize your payment when you've finalized your headcount
