Description

In this fast-paced and interactive team-building event, you will learn things about your colleagues that you never knew before. 

  • Did you know that one of your teammates has run 6 marathons?

  • Did you know that your Head of Marketing's go-to karaoke artist is Celine Dion?

  • Did you know that someone on your team worked at a rattlesnake farm as their first summer internship?

  • Did you know someone on your team speaks four different languages?

  • Did you know someone on your team is a tea connoisseur in their spare time?

Group Breakout:

Participants will have their own “prompt” list with a variety of fun and interesting facts to gather about their colleagues. We will then split the group into breakout rooms (of 2-3 people) where they will interview each other (similar to speed dating) to try to complete as many of the items as possible.

Sharing:

Everyone will be brought back into the main room to discuss what they learned about each other. Small facts, stories, and jokes will be shared to allow the group to create a stronger bond together. The goal of this experience is to get to know the people you work with just a little bit better, whether you have been working together for years or you are trying to integrate new employees into the company (or both).

    • Our event fulfillment team will be able to answer any questions you have before, during, or after the event

Supported Platforms: Zoom is our recommended platform, but we can accommodate Google Meets, Microsoft Teams, and WebEx if the client provides the meeting details

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancel your event for free if you provide at least three business days' notice
  • Cancellations less than three days before the event will result in a fee of 50% of the minimum deposit amount
  • Rescheduling requests less than two days before the event will result in a $150 rescheduling fee

Additional Notes

  • If you don't know your final headcount, place a hold on your date by booking the minimum group size. We'll collect the full payment after you finalize the headcount
  • You can customize your event for a $150 customization fee. Customizations include things like combining different games, requesting specific questions or a themed game, or adding something to an event with materials included. Using a different platform that is not Zoom is not a customization

Pricing

  • $360 for upto 15 people, $10 per person thereafter
  • We will collect the minimum at checkout as a deposit and then we'll finalize your payment when you've finalized your headcount after your event

For customization, there is a $200 charge & we'll connect you with an expert to cater to your group's needs.

Thank you for the opportunity to share our feedback and suggestions. First of all, Yael was great! Our participants were polled, and the event received an 8 out of 10 overall rating and are 88% likely to recommend to colleagues. We will be moving forward with including CourseHorse events in our 2023 program. Opportunities for improvement: The note pad/template: If the provided template is just to be used as a note pad, perhaps we can do without it. It was confusing. The scoring section to the right and readability of the document were challenging. Shy participants not engaging: We had a LOT of shy people in this group and the started ‘chatting’ their input instead of talking. Some of this may our company culture, as they want to talk over each other. Suggestion for these two first bullet points: We think supplying a simple list of the Q’s, easy to read quickly and scan, plus instruction that each person is to choose a question - would give individuals the opportunity to participate, as opposed to shrink into the background ANS eliminate the confusion with the note pad/template. Slow down the instructions at the top of the event. Even though it will take more time, checking to make sure every participant is clicking and following along would be great. VPN challenges. Maybe we are the only remote team using VPN… so this may be just and “US” issue. Suggestion is to add a mention at the top to sign out of the VPN. Nice quotes: “The Ice Breaker event was super fun and forced us to take time to socialize and shake off work mode; yael had great energy and liked the music in the beginning. appreciate prompting people to unmute and talk as opposed to drop in chat.” “Loved the Ice Breaker event, would be so happy to do it again (and tbh I was dreading this, I thought it would be so awkward, but it was actually SO FUN)” “The questions were really interesting and made for good conversations.”

Our team really enjoyed the format of the games. We did 2 back to back events; our host was engaging and did a great job. I also appreciated that everyone was so flexible in using Google Meet which was a requirement for us b/c we work for Google. They did test runs and met with us beforehand to ensure everything went smoothly. Overall a great experience.
