This course is intended for adults who are interested in developing core drawing skills through a variety of subjects. We investigate a series of specific themes involving landscape, still-life, abstraction and the figure.
For each project, students are challenged to articulate and convey an overarching vision that dictates formal decisions surrounding composition, value, perspective, and other visual problems. Projects may incorporate both imagined and observed depiction, using a classroom set-up as a point of departure for composing a drawing with an imagined narrative. Self-portraiture is explored through unconventional strategies and approaches.
After your first month, there will be a $25 materials fee. We provide materials at no extra cost for your first month.
