Architecture is an incredibly fascinating area of photography. This call will take place in Mid-Town Atlanta, one of the more scenic areas in terms of modern Architecture. The emphasis of this class will be on creating more abstract architectural images. If you’re style is more traditional, that’s ok, too. The main focus of the class is to offer you techniques that will help you compose powerful photos.
Digital Photo Academy Instructor will share his techniques in creating stunning abstract architectural images. He’ll discuss composition techniques using leading lines, depth of field and how to experiment with light, color to take your photography skills to the next level. You’ll get helpful hints regarding capability of various lenses whether you currently own them or considering a purchase of them, from wide angle lenses to produce extreme perspective to telephoto lenses that create a more compressed look. You will also experiment with different ways to retain balance and symmetry when shooting various shapes and sizes of architecture. Stan will discuss how to look for small details of modern buildings that can give your images new and interesting perspectives.
Focus in on a specific detail, or experiment with different angles… these simple changes in perspective are how most abstract images are created. By the end of the class you will be able to see interesting shots from a seemingly mundane subject. As an additional feature, your DPA Instructor will also provide powerful tips for working within the theme and details of the locale to create powerful portraits.
There will be quite a bit of walking so wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Please bring only the kit that you can carry and with a battery that is fully charged.

There is street photography, magnificent interiors, farmers markets, zoos, landscapes, and more, photos of which are included within. These photos are a mix of student and instructor images in many different venues and cities across the United States and Canada.
