"I taught myself how to knit and crochet in 2004 when I lived in Salt Lake City. A retail store was selling a knitted hat for $60.00, and I was convinced that I could make it myself. So I bought a set of needles, some yarn, and the book Knitting for Dummies. It was a long rough process, but I was able to figure out how to make my first scarf. I continued practicing, and eventually I made a hat. I was knitting and crocheting mostly during the winter months for the next several years. In 2008 I started selling knitted baby hats, and crocheted adult hats in small boutiques in Salt Lake City and Park City, UT. After I moved to New York City, I began working at Lion Brand Yarn Studio in October of 2010. I learned many new skills, and I decided to make a sweater. I designed my own sweater vest and knitted it out of Alpine Wool. I enjoy knitting and crocheting because there is always something more to learn."
