As an authorized dealer for Janome and Handi Quilter, we offer sales, service, and training of quality sewing machines and longarm quilting machines. For your convenience, we also offer Handi Quilter longarm rentals to help you finish your projects.

Located in Gaithersburg, MD, our store features a friendly, casual environment where you can take advantage of a wide range of fun, interactive classes, special store events, and charity programs. When you need help, our knowledgeable, enthusiastic staff members are always happy to answer your questions and guide you to the products and services that best suit your sewing or quilting needs!

Originally established in 1995, Capital Quilts was purchased by Alison and Pete Zacharkiw in 2012 with a goal to provide their Gaithersburg, MD, community with the everything they need to finish their favorite sewing projects. Capital Quilts offers a wide selection of Janome sewing machines, Horn sewing cabinets, and Handi Quilter longarm machines, along with over 5,000 bolts of fabrics (including an entire wall of batiks) and a large assortment of notions, books, threads, and patterns.
