Description
The dojo is a member of the United States Aikido Federation, the nation's largest aikido organization, and is recognized by Aikikai Hombu Dojo, the Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.
Founded in 1997, our dojo was originally known as Puget Sound Aikikai, and was located in South Lake Union for ten years until we relocated to the Queen Anne neighborhood in 2007.
Primary instruction is given by chief instructor Malory Graham, 6th Dan Shidoin (Certified Instructor.) Malory started her aikido training in 1988 with Paul Sylvain Sensei and received her Rokudan rank (6th Dan) from Y. Yamada Shihan in 2014. She also has a close affiliation with instructors Yoko Okamoto Sensei and Chris Mulligan Sensei of Aikido Kyoto. She is a certified Shidoin instructor through The United States Aikido Federation.
