Discover the transformative power of nature as you explore the sensory-rich environment of the UW Center for Urban Horticulture. Join experienced psychologist Dawnn Meiers in this experiential workshop where you'll learn to identify and savor plants that evoke curiosity, calm, and joy. Uncover the healing benefits of gardening and find ways to apply these strategies in your daily life.
This class will cover pruning Japanese upright maples (fan pruning), Japanese laceleaf maples (shell pruning), pruning pines (cloud pruning) and shearing masses of lower story plants.
This lecture series is designed for those who work in landscape maintenance. Each lecture provides information on tools and techniques for quality pruning with better long-term results and customer satisfaction.
