Let's play! Join us for an hour of advanced asana and sequencing in a fun, interactive workshop format. Come with a pose you are working on and workshop it with the instructor and students OR come with an open mind and play with new tricks!
We're so excited to welcome you to our new studio in Ballard! Below are a few tips to help ensure a great experience:
Location & Parking: We're located in the Market Street Center, near Portage Bay Cafe and Stone Gardens (address is 2821 NW Market). You are welcome to park in the free parking lot or find free parking in the surrounding neighborhood. Please note that there is a large construction project on our end of Market, so plan on a few extra minutes to navigate traffic and find parking.
Arrival Time: The studio opens to students 15 minutes before class time. We appreciate you making every effort to check in at least 5 minutes before class. This allows time to adjust your hammock if needed and gives you the chance to breath and arrive fully in the space before class begins. If you arrive after class has begun, please join us as quietly as possible.
Shoes & Belongings: please leave your shoes in the entryway's shoe rack prior to entering the studio. When you come into our reception area, you are welcome to use the storage cubbies for any of your belongings. Prior to stepping onto the practice room floor, all students are asked to wipe hands and feet using one of the herbal wipes in the reception area. (This helps keep our floors and hammocks clean for the comfort of all of our students).
Water & Restrooms: we will soon have a refillable water station, but in the meantime, we have complimentary bottles of water if you forget yours at home. The building's shared restroom is a bit of a hike from the studio, so we recommend either arriving practice-ready or a few minutes early if you need to hit up the facilities.

Balance between strength and flexibility. Balancing out the rushing world around you with time to tune in and tune out. Working at a desk or a job on the feet all day is tough on your body with the constant pressure on your spine and joints. Your spine will literally stretch out; rehydrating the discs...
