Description
Historically, CFC has collaborated with our community partners, in order to be responsive to the continually changing social and economic needs of families in the region. Our unique CFC programs have emerged through relationships built upon grass-roots community involvement.
Beginning with a California Department of Education Alternative Payment Program in 1976, CFC quickly added programs such as the Private Employer Supported Resource and Referral Program in 1981, sponsorship of the Child and Adult Care Food Program for Family Child Care Homes in 1982, and innovative projects such as Back-Up Choices, an Employer Parenting Series and support for city employees.
Due to CFC’s strong ability to create and provide culturally responsive, quality services, our partnerships and funding have been expanded over the years. The variety of additional programs demonstrate our commitment to building the capacity of families to raise children that are healthy, safe, loved and ready to learn.
