Catherine Girardeau

Teaches at UC Berkeley Advanced Media Institute

Writer and audio producer Catherine Girardeau is currently an Executive Producer at Pushkin Industries, where she produces Against the Rules, a narrative podcast hosted by bestselling author/journalist Michael Lewis (Moneyball, The Big Short). Recent Pushkin projects include Legacy of Speed, a documentary podcast about sprinting and social justice hosted by Malcolm Gladwell; Where There’s a Will: Finding Shakespeare with the Old Globe Theatre; and Story of the Week, a weekly interview show hosted by journalist Joel Stein. Her independent work includes Above the Fog, a podcast about walking and spirituality made as podcaster in residence at San Francisco’s Grace Cathedral, Viewpoints: Body Language, a media project with the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and radio features for PRI, NPR stations and the public radio program Marketplace. She’s worked as a producer for Marketplace, the Stanford Storytelling Project, and museum media company Antenna Audio.
