Ann Rosen graduated from SUNY at Buffalo with a BFA and the Visual Studies Workshop with a MFA, studying with Nathan Lyons, Joan Lyons and John Wood. She studied printmaking, photography and alternative photographic processes. Her influences were the emotional portraits of Diane Arbus, stark B&W portraits of Irving Penn and Helen Levitt’s street shots portraying human pathos and joy.
