Alina Oswald

Alina Oswald is a writer and award-winning photographer based and teaching in New York City Metro area. She is the arts editor of A&U Magazine (formally known as Art & Understanding Magazine), and the author of Journeys Through Darkness: A Biography of award-winning, legally blind photographer Kurt Weston. A former board member of Professional Women Photographers and a member of New York City’s Infinity Photographic Society, Oswald has covered portraits and editorials, events, and ad/prevention campaigns, as well as landscapes, nature, weather, and the environment. Her work has appeared in national and international publications, as well as in New York City and Jersey City photography galleries and museums, such as Leslie-Lohman Museum, SoHo Photo Gallery, and Jersey City Museum. As a frequent guest on Manhattan Neighborhood Network and other shows and podcasts, she often talks about writing and photography as forms of art and storytelling.
