What you'll learn in this architecture class:

Information architecture (IA) and content strategy play a significant role in user experience for businesses of all sizes. The challenge for modern businesses is to figure out if they are building the right type of content for their users' needs. The future of UX unifies design and content/IA professionals in close collaboration. In this twelve-week course, begin with six weeks exploring the vocabulary, processes and key deliverables of information architecture (IA), followed by six weeks covering the basics of content strategy, from research and development through governance. Go from high-level conceptual thinking to real world practical designs in the organization of complex websites and projects. You will leave the course with a project presentation for an organization that can become part of your portfolio.

While this entry-level course is suitable for people from any discipline, you must have a working knowledge of at least one of more design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Axure or Sketch.
