What you'll learn in this kids painting class:

Monumental winter landscapes, energetic winter sports, traditional winter celebrations - this camp is all about winter! 

Students will bring home several winter-related paintings and master oil/acrylic painting skills.

Detailed Schedule:

Day 1:

9am-12pm

Winter landscapes: painting light and shadow on the snow, reflected colors of the sky. Winter trees: painting thick and thin branches and snow on them.

12:30-3:30pm

Decorating a glass candle holder. Stained glass paint.

Day 2:

Animals in Winter: what they do to get through the cold winter months. Learning about bird and animal anatomy, and how to make feathers and fur look realistic. 

9am-12pm: Animals

12:30-3:30pm: Birds

Day 3:

9am-12pm

Winter sports: drawing and painting human figure in motion on gorgeous backgrounds of snow. 

12:30-3:30pm

Sculpting a Christmas tree ornament or a figurine.

Day 4: 

9am-12pm &12:30-3:30pm:

Winter celebrations: Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year, Chinese New Year, Carnivals in Venice and Rio, Mardi Gras.

Full day students paint on bigger canvases, or make pictures of two different winter holidays.


Note:

  • Sitting in the studio is rearranged to assure 3 feet distance between the students.
  • Teachers and kids are required to wear a face covering. 
  • Studio is cleaned throughout regularly, with daily disinfection of active use areas (tables, doorknobs, sinks, etc) and shared art materials (if possible). Some art materials are provided for individual use (pencil/eraser/clipboards).
  • Air purifier with filters is used in the studio during the camp.
  • No students with cold-like symptoms are allowed to participate. Please stay home if feeling sick.
  • Parents drop off and pick up students outside of the studio.

Refund Policy
Monthly payments are not refundable. No fee adjustments due to missed classes - please schedule make up for a class you missed. In case of serious illness or other issues that don’t allow a student to participate in class for a long period of time, the payment may be transferred to another month.

Summer camp payment can be refunded in full if you inform us a month prior to start date of the camp.
