Description

Ever wondered what to do with your passion for drawing? This camp will help! We will take a peek at the most popular art professions of XXI century. You will learn what it feels like to be: an artist who creates worlds and characters for movies and games, a designer who creates everyday objects that everyone loves, an architect who designs ergonomic buildings, a fine artist who creates powerful messages that resonate with people's minds. Even though most art is currently made in digital form, digital drawing skills are not required for this course. What is required is your ability to draw fluently from your imagination.

This camp will teach you:

  • Creative process: implementation of an idea throug the series of iteractions
  • Logo design
  • Brandbook design
  • Architectural sketching
  • Chracter design
  • Product design

Detailed Schedule

Day 1

Intro to Fashion Design:

  • overview, history, concept sketches.
  • Style of fashion illustration.
  • Designing a collection with 3-5 outfits.

Day 2

Intro to User Experience and Visual Design:

  • Overview.
  • Creating a web/app page layout.
  • Creating a set of icons/badges.

Day 3

Intro to the history of architecture:

  • Main architectural styles.
  • Drawing elements of a selected style.
  • Commercial, residential, and community buildings.
  • Designing an eco-friendly house. Facade and floor plan sketches.

Day 4

Intro to product design: Designing an object that will exist in the future.

Day 5

Working with narrative. (Intro to Book Illustration, Movie, Theater, and Game Production):

  • We will be illustrating or staging a selected book or play (please choose one in advance).
  • We will work on: setting up a mood and color pallets that correlate with the plot.
  • Supporting plot dynamics with changes of aesthetics, while keeping the style consistent and recognizable.
  • Designing look for the main character and for a couple of supportive ones.
  • Designing a location of a choice.

Refund Policy

We do not provide refunds for ongoing classes tuition, courses or camps payments.

  • However, full credit towards future booking or transfer to another camp/course will be offered for any cancellations made up to 2 business days before the camp or course starts.
  • Ongoing classes can be canceled with a 31 business days prior notice.

You can make up a missed class on another day when we offer the same age/skill group class. The make-up class should be arranged in advance, no drop-ins. Limit 2 make-up classes per month. Make-up classes are subject to the availability of space in a similar class. We reserve the right not to provide make-up classes or terminate the class enrollment for repeating truancy.
