Learn the basics of stumpwork (sometimes known as raisedwork) in just three hours! Create 3-dimensional figures and forms with wire, padding, and textured stitches. Stitches include fly stitch, long and short stitch, buttonhole, and stem stitch.
Great for beginners or anyone wishing to brush up on their embroidery skills
Learn the basics of needlepainting in just three hours! Needlepainting uses long and short stitches with single strands of cotton or silk thread to create realistic depictions. Very detailed stitching produces shading and depth, and imagery is traditionally taken from plant and animal world. Stitches include long and short stitch, and stem stitch.
Supplies: All materials will be mailed to you prior to the start of class; you will need to supply a pencil and scissors.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
