What you'll learn in this abstract painting class:
This Class will ground you with good fundamentals for creating your own Abstract Art Practice. We will also spend the time establishing trust in your own tuititive process for expressing your heart’s desire. This is a classroom settting with talks, slide shows, videos and exercises to build a great foundation. All levels welcome and especially good for anyone new to Abstract Art.
We will cover:
- Understanding Abstract Art and what an artist does
- The invaluable reasons for workbooks and how to make use of them
- Building your intuition and confidence for taking risks
- Exercises that further your skills and learning
Supplies you will need for this Course:
- ****Mixed media (Canson) workbook 9” x 12” or 11” x 14”
- Acrylic paints - black white, and colors you wish to use
- Various sizes and styles of paint brushes of your choice
- drawing tools: Lyra graphite 9B, water soluble and water non-soluble, ebony Prismacolor pencil, black pastel or charcoal, eraser
- Fixative (Optional)
- scissors
- Scrapers of your choice )an old credit card is a great scraper)
- Silcon shapers (Optional)
- Palette knife
- Brayer (Optional)
- rags or paper towels
- ruler
- glue stick
- spray bottle
Refund Policy
- Full refund less $75 if cancelled 31 business days or more in advance.
- Half refund less $75 if cancelled 16 business days in advance.
- No refund if cancelled less than 8 business days before workshop.
In the event that an instructor or the school needs to cancel at the last minute, students will receive a refund less a 5% non-refundable registration fee.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
