What you'll learn in this abstract painting class:

Learn to express your feelings through color, rhythm, and shape. Create abstract art pieces and improve your composition and color skills.

This course will teach you:

Color mixing
Working with color pallets
Expressing emotions through color
Intuitive painting
Abstract composition

Detailed Curriculum

Day 1. Abstraction: Overview of the history and application of abstract art. Use of color, value, shape, line, texture, and movement in pleasing combinations in abstract and realistic art. Abstracting a realistic masterpiece of a choice.
Day 2. Color: Mixing your own colors from a limited number of premade colors. Learning to mix an infinite number of colors. Creating a palette based on only warm, only cool, and complimentary colors.
Day 3. Spontaneity and Structure: Demonstration of a process of creation of an abstract painting: starting, leading, and finishing the work. Students make quick thumbnail studies.
Day 4- 6. Students work on their abstract artwork of a choice.

Refund Policy

We do not provide refunds for ongoing classes tuition, courses or camps payments.

However, full credit towards future booking or transfer to another camp/course will be offered for any cancellations made up to 2 business days before the camp or course starts.
Ongoing classes can be canceled with a 31 business days prior notice.

You can make up a missed class on another day when we offer the same age/skill group class. The make-up class should be arranged in advance, no drop-ins. Limit 2 make-up classes per month. Make-up classes are subject to the availability of space in a similar class. We reserve the right not to provide make-up classes or terminate the class enrollment for repeating truancy.
