What you'll learn in this glass blowing class:

In this creative camp teens will learn the basics of fusing and slumping, glassblowing, casting and flameworking from professional artists throughout the week, spending a couple of hours in each studio every day. Students will leave with a handful of artworks and a basic understanding of the unique collaborative art that is glass.

Projects will include blown drinking glasses, fused pendants and frames, flameworked marbles and sculptures, a relief casting and more!

Q & A
Q: What should I wear for the classes?
A: Please wear clothes that can get dirty and that are non-synthetic like cotton (jeans and a t-shirt is ideal.)

For glassblowing/ hot glass classes, a removable cotton long sleeve shirt is a good idea, in case you are very sensitive to the heat! Also, take off all large jewelry and watches during your time in the shop. We don't want anything melting while you work in front of hot equipment!

As for Flameworking, Fusing, Kiln Casting classes, we advise that you wear layered clothing. Our Warm Shop can get very chilly depending on the weather, so its best to bring several layers that can be added

Q: Are there materials that we are required to bring? or removed as needed
A: No, all class materials and equipment are included in the class fees unless otherwise noted.

But we recommend bringing a water bottle, especially if you're working in the hot shop. For our six hour classes, please bring a lunch or a hearty snack for the break that happens midway through the lesson.

Q: Is there parking?
A: We have ample perpendicular parking spaces all along Armstong Ave. The spaces along our facade (1750-1760) are all fine to use, despite their "No Parking" labels. However, we ask that you refrain from parking in the no-parking zone directly to the right of our stairs when facing the building, as that individual spot belongs to another tenant.

Refund Policy
We require two full business days notice for cancellations or changes. This will result in an account credit, but if the student wishes for a full refund they may request one and it will be issued at the discretion of the management.
