What you'll learn in this drawing class:

This course is dedicated to the fundamental drawing skill - consistent shading. It is what makes your drawings and paintings look convincing, finished, and awesome.

This course will teach you:

  • Classical methods of drawing
  • Cross-hatching
  • Skecthing
  • Shading
  • Representing various textures
  • Drawing folds
  • Drawing a human head
  • Leading complex drawings from compositional sketches to final touches

Detailed Curriculum

  • Day 1: Pencil drawing techniques. Drawing basic geometric shapes. Creating outlines.
  • Day 2: Pencil drawing techniques. Drawing basic geometric shapes. Shading.
  • Day 3: Learning to see simple shapes in more complex ones. Representing texture.
  • Day 4: Learning to see simple shapes in more complex ones. Representing texture.
  • Day 5: Drawing a complex monochromatic geometric shape: a relief with a plaster leaf.
  • Day 6: Drawing a complex monochromatic geometric relief.
  • Day 7: Drawing a landscape, representing various textures of nature. 
  • Day 8: Drawing a landscape, representing various textures of nature. 
  • Day 9: Drawing folds. Grey paper, white and black charcoal. Starting the drawing.
  • Day 10: Sketching folds. Grey paper, white and black charcoal. Finishing the drawing.
  • Day 11: Lecture on head anatomy, proportions, sketching facial features. Sketching a plane head. Making a thumbnail of the future head drawing with value analysis.
  • Day 12: Starting the final project - drawing of a plaster head. Proportions, composition, structure. Finalizing the outlines.
  • Day 13: Final project - drawing of a plaster head. Rendering the details.
  • Day 14: Final project - drawing of a plaster head. Rendering the details, finishing the drawing.

Refund Policy

We do not provide refunds for ongoing classes tuition, courses or camps payments.

  • However, full credit towards future booking or transfer to another camp/course will be offered for any cancellations made up to 2 business days before the camp or course starts.
  • Ongoing classes can be canceled with a 31 business days prior notice.

You can make up a missed class on another day when we offer the same age/skill group class. The make-up class should be arranged in advance, no drop-ins. Limit 2 make-up classes per month. Make-up classes are subject to the availability of space in a similar class. We reserve the right not to provide make-up classes or terminate the class enrollment for repeating truancy.
