Get your mind, body and spirit aligned with the healing powers of dance! This class is a playful mix of rhythms and dances from Bahia, Brazil. Classes focus on a fusion of Afro-contemporary movement related to Afro-Brazilian cosmology and celebration of life, as well as the contagious and sensual styles of Samba and Samba Reggae, recognized as national symbol of Brazil and popularized during Brazil’s Carnaval celebrations. Dancers will explore their own joyous self-expression as they connect to the music and warm open spirit of Brazilian culture. All levels welcome, no experience is necessary.
