Powder coating is a type of coating for metals that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. The main difference between a liquid paint and a powder coating is that the powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form.
Each student will use an uncoated, stainless steel test object. Students may bring a small personal metal item to be coated subject to space constraints (6” x 6” x 6” maximum) in the oven and other objects being processed.
